Option Period
This is the buyer's negotiated timeframe to fully inspect the property and decide whether to move forward. During this time, inspections are completed, repairs may be negotiated, and the buyer has the option to terminate the contract if needed.
What typically happens

- Specialty inspections (foundation, pool, septic) if needed
- Review inspection reports
- Negotiate repairs or credits with seller
- Decide whether to continue or terminate
